Care & Maintenance Guide
Because a watch is not just an accessory – it’s a piece of your story.
1. Daily wear
• Wear it with confidence, not abuse.
Use your Luren watch in everyday life, but avoid impacts, drops, and unnecessary friction against walls, doors, or gym equipment.
• Remove it for intense activities.
For heavy sports, manual work, or gym sessions with a lot of weight and metal equipment, it’s safer to take it off.
• Put it on as the last step.
Always put your watch on after applying perfume, hair products, or creams. These products can damage the finish over time.
2. Cleaning the case & bracelet
• Simple routine cleaning.
Wipe the watch gently with a soft, dry microfiber cloth to remove fingerprints, dust, and sweat.
• Deeper cleaning (metal bracelet).
If the bracelet is stainless steel, you can lightly dampen the cloth with clean water, wipe it, and then dry it immediately with another soft cloth.
• Never use harsh products.
Avoid bleach, alcohol, acetone, metal polishes, or abrasive sponges. They can scratch or stain the watch.
3. Leather straps (if your model has one)
• Keep leather away from water.
Try not to wet leather straps. Water and sweat can harden, stain, or crack the leather over time.
• Let it breathe.
After a long day of use, remove the watch and let the strap rest in a ventilated place, away from direct sunlight.
• Clean gently.
Use a soft, slightly damp cloth and then dry immediately. Do not use soap or chemical products on leather.
4. Water & moisture
Always check the water-resistance rating of your specific model in the product description.
• Avoid hot water and steam.
Even on water-resistant models, do not use the watch in hot showers, saunas, or jacuzzis – heat and steam can damage the seals.
• Do not operate the crown in water.
Never pull or turn the crown (time-setting knob) when the watch is wet or submerged.
• If the watch gets very wet…
Dry it gently with a soft cloth. If you notice mist or water inside the glass, contact a watchmaker as soon as possible.
5. Storage
• Give your watch a home.
When you are not wearing it, store your Luren watch in a box, pouch, or watch case to protect it from dust and impacts.
• Avoid strong sunlight and humidity.
Do not leave the watch for long periods in very humid places or under direct sunlight (for example, on a car dashboard).
• One watch per compartment.
Avoid storing your watch loose with keys, coins, or other metal objects that can scratch it.
6. Battery & servicing
• When the watch starts losing time…
If you notice delays or the second hand jumping, it may be time to replace the battery.
• Use a professional.
Always take it to a trusted watchmaker to change the battery and check the seals, especially in water-resistant models.
• Regular check-ups.
For frequent use, a general check every 2–3 years helps keep the watch precise and protected.
7. Things to avoid
• Strong impacts or drops
• Chemical products, perfumes, and cleaning sprays directly on the watch
• Extreme temperatures (very hot or very cold)
• Strong magnetic fields for long periods (speakers, some electronics)
By following these simple steps, you extend the life of your Luren watch and keep its presence on your wrist for many years.
